In the second quarter of 2025, the Romanian Android market witnessed notable trends in the music and podcasts app category. According to Sensor Tower, the top five apps showed varied performance in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users.

Spotify: Music and Podcasts from Spotify AB saw a fluctuating but generally high revenue, peaking at approximately $13.4K in early June. Weekly downloads hovered around 6K to 7K, with active users maintaining a strong presence, slightly decreasing from 1.01M to 952K.

Radio Romania Online experienced steady downloads, ranging from 5K to 6K weekly. Active users remained consistent, around the 44K mark, while revenue was minimal but stable.

YouTube Music maintained a steady download rate, with figures around 3K to 4K. Active users showed a robust presence, fluctuating between 1.11M and 1.28M.

Shazam: Find Music & Concerts kept a consistent download pattern, approximately 3K to 3.6K weekly. Active users increased slightly from 558K to 599K over the quarter.

Radio Online România: Live FM had downloads ranging from 2.1K to 2.8K, with active users slightly oscillating around 12K. Revenue was negligible throughout the quarter.
